          หน่วยคอมมานโดสหรัฐฯ ชุดเดียวกับสังหารบิน ลาเดน แอบโรยตัวทางอากาศในซีเรีย ปลิดชีพ อาบู ไซยาฟ แกนนำสำคัญของกลุ่มก่อการร้าย IS และ สังหาร 12 ญิฮัดสำเร็จ

          16 พ.ค 58 ที่ผ่านมา ทำเนียบขาวแถลงยืนยันการเสียชีวิตของ อาบู ไซยาฟ (Abu Sayyaf) แกนนำระดับสูงกลุ่มก่อการร้าย IS ที่ทำหน้าที่ควบคุมปฎิบัติการและยังดำรงตำแหน่งรัฐมนตรีพลังงานของกลุ่มมุสลิมสุหนี่ ถูกหน่วยปฎิบัติการพิเศษเดลต้าฟอร์ซซีลสหรัฐฯสังหารในซีเรียในวันวันศุกร์(15)ที่ผ่านมา พร้อมทั้งนักรบญิฮัด IS อีก 12 คน รวมไปถึงยังสามารถช่วยเหลือเหยื่อตัวประกันหญิงชาวยาซิดิส 1 คนออกมาได้สำเร็จ ในขณะที่ภรรยาของไซยาฟ อูมม์ ไซยาฟ (Umm Sayyaf) หัวหน้าคุมเหยื่อหญิงตัวประกันถูกส่งคุมเข้มในค่ายทหารสหรัฐฯ

          ทีมหน่วยคอมมานโดสหรัฐฯได้บินตรงจากทางเหนือของอิรักด้วยเฮลิคอปเตอร์แบล็กฮอค และอากาศยาน V-22 ออสเปรย์ บุกเดี่ยวลึกเข้าไปยังแหล่งพื้นที่อิทธิพลของกลุ่มก่อการร้าย IS ที่เมือง Deir Ezzor ในซีเรียโดยไม่มีกองกำลังภาคพื้นสนับสนุนจากชาติพันธมิตรอื่นเข้าช่วย

         ในระหว่างการปะทะ หน่วยเดลต้าฟอร์ซซีลดวลปืน รวมไปถึงสู้แบบตัวต่อตัวอย่างดุเดือดทุกรูปแบบกับคนร้ายสมุนนักรบญิฮัด IS ที่อยู่ในแหล่งกบดานแห่งนั้น

         ซึ่งทางสหรัฐฯรายงานว่า ในปฎิบัติการนี้มีนักรบญิฮัด IS เสียชีวิตในระหว่างการปะทะจำนวน 12 คน แต่ไม่มีเจ้าหน้าที่สหรัฐฯได้รับบาดเจ็บ


(CNN) — U.S. Special Operations forces killed a senior ISIS commander during a daring raid intended to capture him in eastern Syria overnight Friday to Saturday, U.S. government officials said.

The ISIS commander, Abu Sayyaf, was killed after he fought capture in the raid at al-Omar, U.S. Secretary of Defense Ash Carter said in a statement. His wife, an Iraqi named Umm Sayyaf, was caught and is being held in Iraq.

Carter said he had ordered the raid at the direction of President Barack Obama. All the U.S. troops involved returned safely.

National Security Council spokeswoman Bernadette Meehan said Obama had authorized the raid “upon the unanimous recommendation of his national security team” and as soon as the United States was confident all the pieces were in place for the operation to succeed.

“Abu Sayyaf was a senior ISIL leader who, among other things, had a senior role in overseeing ISIL’s illicit oil and gas operations — a key source of revenue that enables the terrorist organization to carry out their brutal tactics and oppress thousands of innocent civilians,” she said in a statement.

“He was also involved with the group’s military operations.”

Umm Sayyaf, his wife, is currently in military detention in Iraq. A young woman from the Yazidi religious minority was rescued.

“We suspect that Umm Sayyaf is a member of ISIL, played an important role in ISIL’s terrorist activities, and may have been complicit in the enslavement of the young woman rescued last night,” said Meehan. ISIL is an alternative acronym for ISIS.
